A "Fish Story"

The fisherman cast his line into a pool of swiftly moving fish. He snagged one that was marked differently than the others. As she was reeled in, she gasped to see the fisherman’s greedy eyes and sighed in relief as the others swam away. After all, when someone goes fishing, they do not catch every fish in the pond. It was just her time.

The officer pulled me over, the only Michigan license plate in a line of cars going the same speed, which was not clearly marked. Or, did I just overlook the sign? Was I not paying attention? That fishing trip will net $121.50 for the state of Indiana. I am wiser. However, even though I'm not bitter, I have not achieved that state of “relief” that the others got away.
