An Interpretation

Psalm 23 – King James’ Version – Holy Bible = Interpreted

The Lord is my Shepherd = That's Relationship!
I shall not want = That's Supply!
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures = That's Rest!
He leadeth me beside the still waters = That's Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul = That's Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness = That's Guidance!
For His name sake = That's Purpose!
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death = That's
Testing!
I will fear no evil = That's Protection!
For Thou art with me = That's Faithfulness!
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me = That's Discipline!
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies =
That's Hope!
Thou annointest my head with oil = That's Consecration!
My cup runneth over = That's Abundance!
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life =
That's Blessing !
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord = That's Security!
Forever = That's Eternity!
Face it, the Lord is crazy about you.
What is most valuable, is not what we have in our lives, but
WHO we have in our lives!

The Wolf Within

A wise, elderly Cherokee man was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, “A fight is going on inside of me; it is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves...

One wolf is fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you and inside every other person too.”

They thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

Thank you, Rich, for sending this.

Wisdom from a Friend

On losing weight - precipitated by my complaint to him of loose skin:
The choice we face is a few wrinkles OR being fat, being out of breath from walking across the room, can't reach our feet to trim our toenails, have to sit down to do everything, high BP, risk a stroke, and sex is exhausting.....
My choice is a no brainer. Give me a few wrinkles any day. And I'll tell you something else, when I feel good, I don't care how many wrinkles or sags I may have, I will still look good, 'cause looking good is in the eyes and smile. Dan
