2009

Ten days remain in the December calendar of the year 2009 – incredible!

This year world unrest (does the word “war” seem more appropriate?) has touched everyone, some more dramatically and at a deeper level. Poverty and resulting depression have ravaged people world-wide; up to 15% of those right here in Michigan are unemployed. Inflation has made it difficult, at best, to survive for almost everyone. I am grateful that the ravages of war are not where I live; that I am employed and comfortable; that I know in my heart of hearts that God is in control.

My son and I are sharing costs by living together. My eldest daughter’s step-son was spared in a near-fatal car accident and her two eldest children are both in school now. My youngest daughter completed two master’s programs this year and her fiancée completed his bachelor’s program at WMU. To know my children, their spouses and my grandchildren are well has been one of my 2009 highlights as well as my joy.

My aunt turned 92 and with a few hours of daily help continues to live in her home. I shared some wonderful face-to-face time with my sister in June as she and hubby traveled to Michigan for the HHS reunion. I have renewed friendships from 44+ years ago (the reunion and Facebook being major factors) and have made new friends throughout the year. A new spirit, "Winnie" has come into my life in the form of an adorable cat and an old spirit, "Sophie" has passed on. The deer and turkey population still graces the woods that surround my home. To know that the Divine Creator has given me these opportunities with family and friends, human and animal, has been one of my 2009 highlights.

The world is impacted by all things, but individually, in the light of eternity, the universe is impacted by how we continue to grow by learning about ourselves. Thus, to share healing and light and love has been one of my 2009 highlights.

Whether you believe in a higher being or not, celebrate this yuletide season or not, is your choice. As for me, I’m blessed, and wish you prosperity and goodness throughout the coming year.

With light and love, Shirley

Life in General

Trusting all is going well for you, the reader, as it is in the universe -- Life in general is good and healthy and loving for those that are endeavoring to obtain oneness with the Divine Creator. Will most definitely be looking to the "inner being" as much as I can, along with cleaning my inner physical body. The season has changed from a time of gathering to a time of rest. I love how the snow looks, all white and pristeen, but everything is still the same beneath it all. This winter season is a good time to take stock in what is going on in your life in general.

Through trial and error I am regaining parts of me that have been missing; health being the most interesting journey. I purchased a high-powered juicer and am experiencing some fascinating combinations - carrots/celery/apple is my daily tonic.

Life has been calling Light Workers to put our "money" where our mouth is -- It is a time of growth and re-birth and understanding! Happy journey!
